Hermione de Paula is definitely a name we cannot avoid when we talk about the London fashion scene.
She has got her experience through working for the best, the top of the top: Christian Dior, Alexander McQueen, John Galliano and Giles. Therefore, it is not strange that the list of her clients include the prettiest women in the world like Beyonce or the fashion icon Florence Welch.
Hermione graduated from the prestige St. Martins in London and founded her own brand in 2008. She is well known after unusual floral prints in which she combines the English tradition with the modern definition of feminism. Her “obsession” with floral prints led her to the role of the consultant in the luxurious shoe company Nicolas Kirkwood. In 2011 she had her own line of Kirkwood shoes. She has also designed the exclusive line of summer kimonos for popular ASOS.
The collection which she is going to bring to Zagreb is called “Marguerute’s Menagerie”. It’s the story of another side of Hermione – a dark Lolita girl. She gets her inspiration from unusual women’s characters and every single item carries a unique touch of the person who wears it. The unconventional floral prints are combined with exotic birds, fish and monkeys. They show that nothing in her work is what it seems. The designer told us the following: “Every new collection is a new challenge. Coming to town and presenting the collection is even greater responsibility. I am looking forward to coming to Zagreb and presenting myself to the Croatian market. A part of my plan is to expand to this part of Europe. The invitation to the well-known Fashion Week Zagreb was a logical sequence of events. “
