Two taxi drivers from the association Radio Taxi Zagreb violently attacked the driver of Cammeo taxi and beat him up.
According to the claims from Cammeo, he was attacked in front of Rebro Clinic Hospital when he was trying to pick up the passengers. It happened yesterday afternoon. The victim was Roko Palic, aged 48.
They hit him with their fists and after he fell to the ground, they continued hitting him with their legs.
He got several bruises on his face and body. The doctors of the emergency service of KBC were trying to estimate how heavy the injuries were. The enquiry was done by the PU Zagreb.
Palic is a father of three children. He has been driving taxi Cammeo from the beginning in Zagreb and is one of the most popular employees. The other drivers describe him as an extremely kind and cheerful person.
- We would like to express how bitterly disappointed we are because any of the attacks against Cammeo drivers hasn’t been punished. This situation encouraged the attackers to continue their assaults. They started to endanger the lives of our employees – the report from Cammeo says.
The owner of Cammeo Taxi firm Kosta Minovski is resentful. After he started Taxi Cammeo Pula he has been staying in Pula most of the time for the last few weeks. He asks how much violence is needed to be done against the drivers of Cammeo. The police and the legal institutions should finally protect them and punish those who think that market competition can be performed not only by the quality but also with using physical force.
