The employees of the Dutch Embassy did some voluntary work in the Cyclists’ Information Center in Tomasiceva Street to celebrate the Day of Europe. They also wanted to promote the advantages of bicycle transport in big cities.
As the representatives of the Embassy pointed out, the main reason for supporting bicycle transport in the city of Zagreb is that it is sustainable, practical and healthy. Many citizens of the Netherlands have been promoting the use of bicycle for years.
They helped the association Mojbicikl which runs the Cyclists’ Information Center to redecorate the premises and to prepare everything for its opening in the end of May. The Cyclists’ Information Center will be the main point where visitors will be able to get all the useful and practical information about cycling in Zagreb. It is the common project of Croatian and Dutch volunteers.
