There is the European championship for men and women in body building taking place in Dom sportova next weekend. The women will compete in categories called body building, body fitness, bikini fitness and the new discipline athletic fitness. The men will compete in categories fitness and athletic fitness.
The European championship is hosted in Zagreb this year and it starts with the first round of competition on Saturday 12th of May at 10 a.m. when there are semi-finals taking place. The final round of the competition will be held on Sunday 13th May at 3 p.m. Then we will find out who the champions in the categories mentioned before are.
There will be 165 participants from the total number of 31 countries. It’s the record number of countries. This year’s competition will have even 70 percent more participants than the last year’s competition in Tyumen.
The Croatian team consists of the current body fitness world champion Zrinka Fiser. She has been the world champion twice and she is the European champion as well. There are also Veronika Blazev, the last year’s World Champion finalist, as well as Eva Rusan and others.
The Croatian representative in men’s category is Robert Horvat who is the holder of the bronze medal in classic body building together with two young competitors who compete for the first time.
