The lecture about the public areas by Delalle and Simpraga

The association of architects Zagreb organizes the talk between Radovan Dellale and Sasa Simpraga entitled “U Tinelu” on Tuesday 24th of January in their premises (DAZ) on Ban Jelacic square at number 3 on the first floor at 7 pm. The topic is public areas.

Radovan Dellale was born on 23rd December, 1935 in Slavonski Brod. He studied architecture at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb from 1956 to 1960. He graduated at the Institute for urban planning and development in Paris in 1972. From 1961 to 1979 he lived and worked in Sarajevo, Paris and Zagreb. He worked in the Institute for area planning Zagreb from 1980 till he was retired. He took part in 25 domestic and international competitions where he got 6 first prizes in Graz, Zagreb, Sarajevo and Novi Sad. Some of his realized projects were the block called “Djuro Djakovic” in Sarajevo (1st stage) and the holiday resort in Stara Baska. He exhibited individually and as a member of groups at numerous exhibitions in Croatia and abroad. From 1996 to 2002 he exhibited the whole range of themed exhibitions with a co-author Fedor Kritovac at the gallery “Modulator”. He also published more than a hundred scientific and professional reviews in different periodicals and journals. He has been editing the theme publications and has been the member of the editor board of “Arhitektura” (1977-1982) and CIP (1997). He published a book called “Searching for the town identity” in 1988 (2nd edition in 1997, IC Rijeka).

Sasa Simpraga is a freelance researcher and activist, the author of the book “Zagreb, public areas”.
