The President of the Committee for area development and construction Mihael Zmajlovic and the members of the Committee met the delegation of the Committee for transport, construction and urban development of German Parliament.
In the introductory part Mihael Zmajlovic pointed out that the relations between Germany and Croatia have traditionally been very good and friendly. The meetings are meant to strengthen the parliamentary collaboration of the two countries - the president of the Committee said. The main topics included thepolicy of construction and area development in the context of energetic effectiveness. The two parts agreed that almost all the members of the EU faced the same challenges in this area.
The leader of the German delegation Volkmar Vogel shared the experiences and new pieces of information with Croatian colleagues. They talked about the policy of construction and about models for motivating the energetic effectiveness programs. All these programs will be available for Croatian partners when Croatia enters the EU.
Mihael Zmajlovic reported about the Croatian project for energetic renovation of public buildings owned by the state and local self-government subjects. Zmajlovic pointed out that the project should revive the construction sector and initiate new investments. In the end of the meeting the two parts agreed to meet again and to continue further collaboration.
