The police are searching intensively for the unknown offender who killed Davor Golubic (38) in Savska Street on Saturday.
The victim was in the car park in his white Renault Clio registered in Split, owned by a company, when the accident happened.
What we know so far is that Davor Golubic had no criminal record. His dead body was taken to the Institute for forensic medicine at Salata hospital where the autopsy will take place. The offender left the scene on foot and some witnesses claim that he ran away down Veslacka Street.
Davor Golubic was killed on Saturday evening at about 19.25 pm. The incident happened in Savska Street at number 164. According to the information off the record, the offender approached him while he was sitting in his car. There were at least three shots as the witnesses say. The offender left the scene.
The victim was the owner of the café called Princ Student and another café that is situated just opposite the car park where the shooting took place.
The neighbors say that the first person who reacted was the mother of the victim who lives in the flat near the café. She ran out into the street when she heard the shooting. She was calling for help and soon was surrounded by people who were passing by.
There was the police and an ambulance which came very quickly and tried to calm down the poor woman. The police search started immediately but there is still no information about the offender.
