Jutarnji List is not writing the truth. The claims are not in the Ministry of Justice report, said Misetic about the artillery diaries.
The defence of general Ante Gotovina has denied the claims that he took the artillery diaries, and that some were burned.
On Friday, Jutarnji List reported that in a secret report by the Croatian Ministry of Justice, it says that Ante Gotovina took some of the artillery diaries from the police and military liberation operation ‘Storm’. He took them whilst he was the chief inspector of the Croatian Army (HV), and in 2000 and 2001 he had help from Marin Ivanovic, a former SIS member, who is a member of his defence today, and former workers of the Ministry of Defence, Jurica Sare and Marijan Kretic.
“The claims by journalist Malic in the Croatian report do not exist, and we are certain of this because a copy of the report, besides being given to the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, has been in the possession of Gotovina’s defence for three weeks” says Luka Misetic in his official statement.
“We call upon Jutarnji List to publish the page of the secret report where it says that Gotovina took the diaries. On the contrary, we will sue that paper” said Misetic.
