VUKOVAR, CROATIA – An Unknown person, or persons, last night wrote the words “This is Serbia” (Ovo je Srbija) and four letters “S” written in Cyrillic alphabet on the glass doors and walls of the Ovcara Vukovar Memorial Centre, said spokesman of the Vukovar-Srijm police, Krunoslav Zgela.
Graffiti were probably written in felt pen, and the letters are about 10cm big while the letters in Cyrillic alphabet were twice the size, said Mr Zgela, adding that an inquiry is in course.
According to the presented of the Serb Concentration Camp Detainees Organisation, Danijel Rehak, it is the first time the Ovcara Memorial Centre has been “decorated” with messages of hatred.
