Tomac: Racan Wants Young People To Take Over SDP

Text

Racan's colleague of many years revealed Racan's wish for SDP to be led by young people, who would make it more modern and democratic.

Tomac, who entered Social Democratic Party (SDP) headquarters for the first time in four years, also pointed out that he believed that the current SDP team would show that Croatia needed a Social Democratic Party that would continue to implement Racan's ideas.

"It is also Racan's wish that the Party be led by young people, even if this meant that he had to resign," Tomac added, speaking about the wishes of the former head of SDP before he had resigned.

Apart from Tomac, those who have entered the Social Democratic Part headquarters since this morning include Zeljka Antunovic, Ivica Pancic, Gordana Grbic, Slavko Linic, and Racan's other party colleagues and friends. They are all dressed in black, expecting the worst to happen at any moment.

For this reason, numerous teams of reporters have gathered at Iblerov trg city square since the early hours in the morning, and they are following closely all the statements and reports related to Ivica Racan's medical condition which is, unfortunately, as bad as it was yesterday.

Ljubo Jurcic visited Racan at Rebro hospital. He said that the former head of SDP said very little and the conversation was not related to politics, but topics of a private, mostly family nature.
