ZAGREB, Sept 7 (Hina) - A total of 9.8 million tourists visited Croatia in the first eight months of 2012 and generated nearly 59 million overnights, up 4.2 percent in arrivals and 5.6 percent in overnights on the year, Tourism Minister Veljko Ostojic said adding that this indicated that this was the best year in Croatia's history and that Croatia would be the winner in the Mediterranean according to the number of tourist arrivals.
The minister added that September two would be a record-breaking month.
He reiterated his expectations that this year income from tourism would be 3-5% higher than last year's, namely EUR7 billion.
