Namely, Dr Brkic is a senior assistant on Logics Department and Mirko Jakic is head of the department, and a member of a committee which decided on Brkic's appointment as a senior lecturer.

- Not one single secondary school teacher last year used Jakic's textbook, and it was appraised as bad – It is claimed in the Ministry, and add that they have already found a replacement for Brkic and Smokrovic in the Committee.

The denounced professors claim they were in not in the conflict of interest, Jutarnji list says.

- If Jakic appraised me in my selection for higher posts, it does not mean that I am in the conflict of interest, Brkic says.

Dr Mirko Jakic says that he is not familiar with the events round Committee, and that he had no idea that Brkic decided on his textbook.

- We are talking here about dirty games, of which I do not want to be a part, Jakic said.
