Varazdin Tourist Board rewarded the best employees in tourist industry

The Tourist Board of the City of Varazdin organized a ceremony of rewarding the best employees in the action called “Individual – the key of success in tourism”. The action is being organized at the national level by Croatian Tourist Board. The aim is to improve the hospitality level and to show friendly and generous behavior towards domestic and foreign tourists. There were seven categories and the winners were decided from the received applications.

In the category of sale and marketing the winner is Snjezna Jovan from Varazdintours. The best waiter is Damir Hosni from Gastrocom, who is the manager of Ritz café. The best chef is Andjelko Levanic from Turist hotel. The best worker of the hotel housekeeping is Anica Topic from Varazdin hotel. Among the winners there is also a deputy of the head of Varazdin police station Miroslav Kosic as the best police officer and the employee of Varkom Stjepan Cesar as the best street cleaner. Miran Bojanic Morandini is the winner in the category of tourist guides.

- In the times when tomorrow is uncertain, it is a huge motivation for the future to get a reward for something that we did well yesterday. The guests are everything for us so we try to keep them satisfied with our services. At the same time we have to charm them, too. Varazdin has a very good school for restaurant staff which has been producing generations of well trained employees. They also complete the picture of our beautiful city- the best waiter in Varazdin Damir Hosni said.  

- These people are the ones with most credit for the fact that tourists in Varazdin feel like being at home. They recommend our town as a holiday destination but they also come back themselves – the Mayor’s deputy Natalija Martincevic concluded.
