We were informed that the killed police officer, Ivan Grbavac, was 24 years old and got his police badge just 15 days ago.

The Croatian public still remembers the gory robbery of a FINA office in Zvonimirova Street, when two robbers entered the office with an automatic gun and a gun and shot two security guards: Drago Renar, who died on the spot and Stipe Musan, who died the next day.

According to witnesses, three robbers committed the crime and all three started running towards a building in Jakov Gotovac Street. One of the perpetrators was wearing a white T-shirt and was arrested at the very entrance o the building and pulled into an official vehicle. Unofficially, we found out that the man in question is K.M. who was released from prison two months ago.

Police caught up with the second perpetrator, a larger man with a shaved head, wearing a black T-shirt, at the stairs. According to unofficial information, the third robber is still inside the building, which is now surrounded by some 20 special police unit members. The tenants believe that the robber has taken one or several hostages, while two Ambulances are waiting nearby.

Mr. Darko, whom we saw standing in front of the building, told us he has been at the scene for the past 45 minutes and was exceptionally worried, because his ill mother was alone in her apartment. According to him, the robbers broke the entrance door glass.

Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic arrived at the scene, accompanied by the head of the City`s Emergency Department Pavle Kalinic.
