Australian Channel 7 blames the Croatian media for reporting their stories on Britt as a conspiracy against Croatian tourism.

Dubrovnik police dismissed the depositions and new information published in Channel 7`s show, which investigates the death of Australian backpacker Britt Lapthorne, who died in Dubrovnik last summer.

Britt`s parents, Elke and Dale Lapthorne are raising money in order to hire divers. They are supposed to find the remaining parts of their daughter`s body, which will require several dozen thousand Australian dollars.

Police officers who were referred to in relation to the tourist kidnappings have not been questioned, reporter Ross Choultard accuses in Channel 7`s “Sunday Night – All In Call”. Investigating the so-called Dubrovnik case”, Choultard claims that depositions of witnesses on the show point to a group of local kidnappers in Dubrovnik. The reporter also calls out Dubrovnik police to change their relationship towards victims and crime.

The show claims that Elke and Dale Lapthorne started raising money to search the seabed near Dubrovnik on the night from September 17 to 18, 2008,

Britt`s parents want to hire divers in order to find the remaining parts of their daughter`s body, which will require several dozen thousand Australian dollars.

In the end, Channel 7 assessed that the Croatian media reported the show about kidnappings in Dubrovnik as a conspiracy against Dubrovnik and Croatian tourism.
