GONG says that most reports regarding violations of election rules came against Bandic, Primorac, and Vidosevic.
Opening of election stations for presidential elections and start of voting was administered without any significant problems and in accordance with the established procedure, GONG observers reported and added that the number of citizens who voted before 10 am was low.
Polling Committee reviewed the current work and rated it as excellent, with the exception of a small number of critical situations. This report is based on observations of GONG’s staff which is currently monitoring 205 voting stations, as well as reports from non-anonymous citizens.
Minor incidents include a 40-minute delay in opening of electoral station in Končanica and a verbal assault against GONG staffer in Split. At a Karlovac polling station voting takes place in one room while a ballot box is located in another room.
Violation of election silence
GONG has also received a small number of calls from citizens who reported cases of violation of electoral silence. One citizen from Vidovci, Pozega informed GONG that the electoral roll of voters included a person who died a year ago, which the Polling Station Committee made a note of and passed on to the Office of General Administration.
As far as violations of election silence goes, citizens mostly reported on leaflets left in their mailboxes and occasional posters. Most reports regarding violation of election silence came against Milan Bandic, Dragan Primorac, and Nadan Vidosevic.
