Hoto Group hired Bozo Skoko, Bandic’s media advisor, to lead marketing in the crisis due to recent Cvjetni Square events.
Tomislav Horvatincic, owner of the Hoto Group, hired Millenium Promotion to take care of marketing in crisis due to recent events on Cvjetni Square which led to citizens’ protests.
It would not be disputable if one of the founders of that agency were not Zagreb Mayor Bandic’s intimate and recent advisor for promotion and marketing, Bozo Skoko.
Project Cvjetni has to go
Bozo Skoko is known in the public as a man who is in charge of advising Zagreb’s Mayor Milan Bandic in his public appearances. The city government initiated a procedure for changing the General Urban Plan (GUP) on Thursday and they put ‘finishing Downtown blocks’ on the list of priorities. It seems that nothing will stop the city government and Horvatincic in building a shopping centre with a garage at the location of former Zagreb Cinema in the centre of the city. If Horvatincic’s project gets a green light in the downtown blocks, it will open the possibility for other investors to build there.
Skoko works for the city government and City's SDP
It is a coordinated action of the city government and Horvatincic to ‘give a push’ to the Cvjetni project. It can be seen from the fact that Skoko and his agency, work or used to work for the City Council of the Social Democratic Party, the Tourist Board for the City of Zagreb, city’s companies ‘Robni terminali’ and ‘Vodoospskrba i odvodnja’. Their client is the Kerempuh Theatre with Dusko Ljustina at the helm, who is a member of the council in charge of culture.
Skoko is an assistant at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb and he lectures courses ‘Relations with public’ and ‘Promotional communication’. He is a former journalist and an editor at the Croatian television.
