Mayor Bandic laid wreaths and lit candles in front of the Wall of Pain and the Central Cross of the Homeland War Soldiers’ Alley.
ZAGREB, CROATIA – On occasion of the Croatian holiday of Day of Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving and the Day of Croatian Homeland Defence War Soldiers, Zagreb’s Mayor Milan Bandic laid wreaths and lit candles in front of the Wall of Pain and in front of the Central Cross in the Croatian Homeland Defence Soldiers’ Alley at Zagreb’s central cemetery of Mirogoj.
Wreaths were also laid on the grave of the first Croatian president, Franjo Tudjman, as well as on a joint grave of unidentified victims of the Homeland Defence War.
The City of Zagreb delegation also consisted of the chairman of the City Council, Boris Sprem, and head of the city’s office for the social protection of invalids, Visnja Fortuna.
