Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) had dismissed the accusations of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) regarding minister Vukelic.
Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) member Andrija Hebrang sent the message to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to put pressure on the institutions in authority in the course of the investigation of the Brodosplit case and to prevent them from conducting an independent investigation.
His stance is shared by his party colleague, spokesman for the HDZ club Gordan Jandrokovic.
"HDZ welcomes efficient action on part of the institutions that have authority over the Brodosplit affair because the illegal acts committed can only be established by state institutions, not political parties," said Jandrokovic.
He added that his party would not let SDP attack, judge, and convict as it would have happened in "some other times."
Institutions in authority must sanction all those who are proven guilty of committing illegal acts," thinks Jandrokovic.
HDZ member Frano Matusic has singled out SDP for using methods of the old regime and issuing verdicts without due legal process.
"The court must have its say. The investigation was started against ten people and minister Vukelic is not one of them," reminded Matusic.
