The representatives of Zagreb Holding started the travel agency while sending the message that it was the small step for this city mega company, but the big one for Vladimir Nazor branch. This branch has been organizing holidays for children for 50 years. They have been working with socially disadvantaged children as well.
HSS Zagreb made comments about this matter saying that Holding should be dealing with community services and not with doing all kinds of activities such as being travel agents. The PR from Holding Dusan Viro says that such comments are unreasonable because Vladimir Nazor is registered as the branch for tourism.
The optimistic view was shown by numbers planned for the first year: 250 thousand of stays, 75 thousand of users and the profit of 30 mil HRK.
Srdan Vlaovic, the head of Vladimir Nazor branch office, reminded of the accommodation at the seaside owned by this firm (Savudrija, Duga uvala, Crikvenica, Veli Losinj, Punat, Skradin). They also have objects in Zagreb and in Slovenia so they hold the lead among other agencies in the same field. He admits that they cannot expect to gain profit overnight but if they stick to their plan, they can have every right to be optimistic.
One of the first offers by this agency is travelling to the European football championship in Poland and Ukraine. They will also continue organizing summer holidays for children and teenagers from 7 to 18. They are the main target group of this new business initiative from Zagreb Holding.
The head of the new travel agency in Petrinjska street is Irena Kraljevic. There are five young people working at the agency as well, but they haven’t been newly employed but transferred from other positions within Vladimir Nazor.
