The final round of the biggest engineering students’ competition in Europe called EBEC (European Best Engineering Competition) will take place at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing from the 1st to the 8th of August. Therefore, the Mayor Milan Bandic met the representatives of the Association BEST Zagreb.
The competition will host more than 200 students of 90 universities from 30 different countries. About 100 students will volunteer in organizing the event.
Such events are a good opportunity for the City of Zagreb to show hospitality and present itself as a university city full of attractions for tourists. That’s why the Mayor of Zagreb decided to support the event.
BEST Zagreb is a branch of the international students’ association called Board of European Students of Technology which has its representatives in more than 30 European countries. It is a voluntary non-profit organization which gives students a chance for a professional development. They can contact the future employers and work in international teams. They can also work on their organizational skills and learn about the European cultures. They can learn about tolerance and understanding of different customs and traditions.
