Text

American company KBR seeks civilians in Southeast Europe for work in oil fields in Iraq and Afghanistan.

At the Zagreb Sheraton hotel from February 4 until February 36, recruitment will be held of civilian employees for the aid of the American army, within the framework of the LogCAP III programme. Apart from work in oil fields in Iraq, firefighters, nurses, drivers etc. are required.

Apart form seeking employees for Iraq, KBR company employs in Afghanistan as well. On one hand, they do not state what kind of salary the potential employees might expect, but on the other they warn the work place might be in war zones, where there is a risk of wounding and death, and KBR does not guarantee safety. They also seek employees in Skopje, Sarajevo, Pristina and the Mexican Monterrey.

As the Vecernji list daily reports, KBR heads were in 2005 charged with war profit-making, bribery and embezzlement in Iraq, and the company cherishes good relations with the USA Vice-President Dick Chaney.
