Apple Inc. has stated it sold its 100 millionth iPod, dubbing it by far the fastest selling music piece of equipment in history.
Since the first iPod was sold in 2001, the American company has issued ten new models, including iPod Shuffle launched last November, the size of a match box. The latest models cost between 79 and 249 dollars.
The pocket MP3 players, some of which have the capacity to save thousands of songs and photographs, even films, helped change the course of Apple’s financial future.
The commercial success of this music device transcended the borders of urban fashion idolatry, reaching even British Queen Elizabeth and American President George W. Bush.
