BMW More Successful Than Mercedes

BMW kept the position of the most successful German car producer last year also, with almost 1,2 million sold pieces.

Last year the largest German car producer, BMW increased its income by 5 percent in relation to the previous year, acquiring 49 billion euro of income.

A considerable increase of income probably occurred due to the release of two new models on the market: Series 3 and SUV X3. Last year almost 1,9 million cars were sold by this producer, the Poslovni dnevnik writes.

The BMW management expects further growth in 2007, that is, maintenance of the first position in front of its biggest competitor, Mercedes-Benz and their line of luxury cars. Mercedes was successful as well, according to latest information, and the heads hope how around 1,26 million cars are supposed to go from their factories to the hands of customers.
