Borovo Conquers Canada

Text

After having launched its products in the Russian Federation, footwear company Borovo zeroes in on Canada.

After the first post-war shipment of shoes from the spring/summer 2007 collection had been exported to the Russian Federation, Vukovar-based company Borovo Footwear directed its export offensive to Canada. The Canadian market has already been investigated, but concrete answers in regard to quantities, prices, and individual models have yet to be defined.

The entire venture will be operated through a Slovenian company

It is well known that the whole venture will be run though a Slovenian company, the name of which Borovo does not yet wish to make public. To clarify, Slovenians already have established contacts on the Canadian market and Borovo Footwear should launch its products through them, reports Poslovni dnevnik.

2 million pairs of shoes a year exported before the war

The concrete negotiations, which ought to crystallize the details of the future agreement, begin today in the Vukovar company's headquarters, which the Slovenian partners are expected to visit. The Vukovar-based Borovo's footwear for buyers in the U.S. and Canada area is not really big news. Before the Croatian War of Independence started, the company had been exporting around 2 million pairs of shoes on those markets overseas through the Roys company each year.
