After with the financial crisis and the drop of the pound, the British have finally started noticing the beauty of the Adriatic.
Croatia, Egypt, Turkey and Hungary have been selected the most attractive destinations for 2009 for British tourists, the Bitish Mirror reports.
After the fierce financial crisis and the plummeting of the value of the pound, British tourists are wondering where to go for their summer holidays.
Croatia is one of the top destinations
Reporters of the Mirror recommend Croatia where, according to them, prices are more affordable than in Great Britain.
According to the experiences in the past years, the most attractive Croatian destinations for the British are Hvar Island and Dubrovnik, which is no surprise because the authentic beauty that they can see in one place is offered to them in quite cheap arrangements.
The prices in hotels and restaurants are usually 20 percent lower than in other European countries, although they can rise during the peak season, the daily says, adding that one pound is 7.34 kuna.
Hungary as one of the options
Apart from Croatia, Hungary also made the narrow choice, for which they said that it is very cheap due to the collapse of the local currency, while Budapest is excellent for a brief vacation. Although the country is land-locked, there are some beautiful beaches around Lake Balaton.
Aware of the fact that their pound does not have the value it had, the British have seriously started considering destinations outside of the Eurozone.
