Europe Shares Sink, Tracking Wall St After US Data

At 1418 GMT, the FTSEurofirst 300 of top European shares was down 0.5 percent at 1,306.49 points.

European shares fell back into negative territory in afternoon trade on Thursday, taking their cue from leading Wall Street indexes after a bigger than expected slump in U.S. new home sales and home sales prices.

At 1418 GMT, the FTSEurofirst 300 of top European shares was down 0.5 percent at 1,306.49 points.

The Dow Jones index was down 0.1 percent, the S&P 500 fell 0.3 percent and the Nasdaq lost 0.6 percent.
