Foreigners Interested in Croatian Furniture

Companies Bor from Novi Marof and Medjimurjeplet from Cakovec yielded great success at the furniture fair in Cologne.

Members of the Wood Cluster of Northeastern Croatia, the Bor company from Novi Marof and the “Medjimurjeplet” from Cakovec recently presented their products on one of the biggest world furniture fairs, the IMM in Cologne.

Companies from Europe expressed particular interest for Bor’s products. Four Croatian companies presented their products at the fair. Apart from the above mentioned members of the Wood Cluster of Northeastern Croatia, the DI Sekulic company from Nova Grakiska and Lapibus from Velika Gorica were also present at the fair, Vjesnik writes.

Interest from Japan

Special interest for products of the Bor company was shown by companies from Germany, Austria, Spain, The Netherlands, Belgium and Ireland, as well as Japan, Saudi Arabia and Jordan. The Medjimurjeplet surprised visitors with its living room sets and baskets made from Croatia’s autochthonous raw material – wicker.
