Google Developing A Mobile Phone

Text

The project was confirmed by an offical of the globally popular search engine in Spain.

Google did not wish to directly comment on the information that had leaked from Europe and the USA in regard to the description of the characteristics of the new, cheap mobile phone. In recent months, bloggers and the press have reported that Google is selling its phone design to potential partners for the production of mobile phones in Asia.

The mobile phone segment is important to Google, said Google spokeswoman Erin Fors. – We remain focused on creating applications and establishing and developing partnerships with industry heads in order to develop innovative services for users across the globe. However, we do not have anything new to report, said Erin Fors.

Earlier speculation proven wrong

Mobile phone enthusiasts who, only two months ago, were obsessed with the potentially revolutionary impact that Apple's new iPhone device might have on the phone industry and should arrive on the market in June for the price of 500 dollars, have turned their attention to the possibility that Google might develop an even cheaper phone.

However, the frantic speculation on Google products previously turned out to be wrong. A little over a year ago, the press created a buzz about Google working on its own model of personal computers. What really happened involved free software programs that had been created to simplify the use of Windows on all existing personal computers.

Richard Windsor, analyst in brokerage company Nomura in London, told the clients last week that a Google representative, whom he did not specifically name, had confirmed at one of the more significant European conferences held in Germany that the company had been working on the development of its own mobile phone.
