Ina Drafts Study on Gas Supply to Coastal Areas

Text

Croatia’s finance minister and Ina management chairman will hand studies of gas supply to six coastal area county prefects and five mayors.

Croatian Finance Minister Ivan Suker and chairman of the board of the Ina oil company, Tomislav Dragicevic, will on Tuesday hand studies on gas supply to 19 largest towns and settlements in the Croatian coastal area to six county prefects and five mayors.

Counties and towns for which the studies have been drafted

Istria County will receive the gas supply study for Rovinj, Porec, Umag and Pazin, Karlovac County for Ogulin, Lika-Senj County for Otocac, Gospic and Senj, Sibenik-Knin County for Sibenik, Drnis and Knin, Split-Dalmatia County for Omis, Sinj, Glavica, Trogir and Makarska, and Dubrovnik-Neretva County for Dubrovnik, N. Mokosice, Ploce and Metkovic.

The goal of the studies is to invite concession tenders

The goal of the studies drawn up by experts of the “Hrvoje Pozar” energy institute is the drafting of an expert basis for inviting tenders for the concession for the distribution of gas in the coastal areas and the creation of a foundation for the usage of ecologically acceptable fuels, Poslovni dnevnik writes.

Ina hopes at least one county will invite a tender

The studies contain all pros and cons of using liquefied oil, mixed and natural gas compared to today’s fuels used in Dalmatia – extra light heating oil and electricity. Ina hopes that at least one county will take the donation seriously and invite a tender for construction works.
