Mato Topic Leader of HOK

Chamber of Trades and Crafts in Zagreb elected Mato Topic HOK president.

Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts (HOK) Assembly members decided on the president after two rounds of voting. Three people were on the short list, former HOK president Stjepan Safran, Mate Topic and Sisak craftsman Zeljko Vrbanus.

The new president announced in his programme the following: adjustment to European standards, strengthening of profession education, and order and discipline in the Chamber system.

Help to small craftsmen and international co-operation

He will support the strengthening of Croatian craftsmanship, help for small craftsmen, as well as further international cooperation, but decentralisation of the craftsmen system as well.

According to the first minutes of his mandate, we are in for interesting craftsmen days which are, corresponding to the new president`s announcements, supposed to strengthen Croatian craftsmanship, the Vjesnik daily writes.
