The most populated country in the world with a skyrocketing economy is yielding more and more billionaires.
The list of the ten richest Chinese is spearheaded by Wong Kwong Yu, a Beijing businessman who is only 37 years old. Kwong owns China’s largest electrical appliances chain, Gome Appliances.
The fifth place is occupied by a woman, Yan Cheung, who owns one of the largest factories for the production and manufacturing of cardboard in the world, Nine Dragons.
Guo Guangchang, 39, holds the ninth position with his Fosun Group being the largest private conglomerate.
Most of those on the list are, apart from the Chinese market, spreading to the whole of Asia. Of the ten richest Chinese, three are from Hong Kong, two from Shanghai and two from Guangzhou.
