Polancec Has to Show His Podravka Contract

Leko stressed that Damir Polancec should show his managerial contract with the Podravka pood production company. He should explain, in accordance with his role as vice-premier in charge of economy, his involvement in stock exchange and participation in the privatisation of the company in which the government has the controlling package.

Josip Leko claims that Polancec, as an official, cannot be in any position in any company and should explain his commitment towards Podravka.

As president of the Committee for the Conflict of Interest, Leko announced a discussion of the case if it was established that there were favours in purchasing.

At the same time, there is a possibility that Polancec is in conflict of interest because he used privileged information for his own benefit, claims ‘Vecernji list’. Polancec says that a person cannot be blamed for privileged information but for abusing it.
