Sanader Invites Bill Gates To Croatia

Prime Minister Ivo Sanader invited Microsoft to hold one of the next Government Leaders Forum right here in Croatia.

Delegation of Croatian officials and experts in the field of e-Government, headed by Miroslav Kovacic, state secretary of the Central State Department for e-Croatia, attended this year`s Microsoft Government Leaders Forum (GLF) 2007.

Confirming the strategic co-operation between Microsoft and the Croatian Government, Kovacic forwarded a letter to Bill Gates from Prime Minister Ivo Sanader, in which he is invited to hold one of the next Government Leader Forums right in Croatia, the Poslovni dnevnik writes.

This year`s GLF was held in Great Britain for the first time, while the central event place was Hollyrood, Scottish Parliament headquarters in Edinburgh.

The final plenary address on behalf of Microsoft was made by Bill Gates who also announced further initiatives in the field of education and a progress in Microsoft`s efforts to hold trainings for 20 million people in Europe by 2010.

He pointed out that Microsoft, together with its partners, organised technology trainings for 8,7 million people across Europe in the last three years.
