Stella Croatica is the first company in Croatia to receive the halal certificate which enables a campaign on the Arabic market.
Stella Croatica launched a new brand Stella Mediterranea Croatica, aimed for the Muslim, above all, Arabian countries. They decided on this move because of their co-operation with the Kuwaitians who conditioned the placing on their market with the halal certificate.
New line of products presented at Gulfood
The company promoted its new line of products at the last week`s Gulfood fair, the biggest catering and nutrition fair in Dubai. Owner Melita Polic, together with husband Andrija is in Dubai, attending negotiations with Kuwaitian companies on the placement of their products on the yonder market. Podravka, Vindija, Agrokor and Irex-aroma are also interested in the halal certificate.
Products harmonised with diet standards of Islamic denomination persons
The halal certificate states that manufacturing processes and products are harmonised with the diet standards of people of Islamic denomination. Muftia Sefko Omerbasic, on behalf of the Islamic Community Meshihat in Croatia and Melita Polic, Stella Croatica owner, signed a contract some ten days ago, by which the halal quality certificate Agency of Tuzla awards halal certificates for the line of products based on honey, figs and olives to the Split-based company.
Only six companies in Bosnia received this certificate
In less than a year of the Agency`s work, the authorised for issuing out halal certificates in Europe, only six companies in BH received this certificate that guarantees the product does not contain ingredients forbidden to the Islamic world, like alcohol, meat and blood of non-properly killed animals, the Poslovni dnevnik writes.
