Subsidies Per Kilogramme

In order for state subsidies to have its legal function in agriculture, the HDSSB requested a subsidies reform.

In order to help farmers become producers of goods, we need to have a reform of the subsidies system, members of the Slavonija and Baranja Croatian democratic Assembly (HDSSB) agricultural section told a news conference Tuesday. 

Rayonisation suggested 

It was suggested that rayonisation be implemented and subsidies paid per kilogramme of produced goods, with the condition of the realisation of a referential yield, not like now, per hectare. Subsidies for oil crops should amount to at least 2,500 kuna per hectare, including for soy that are currently an inadmissible 1,600 kuna per hectare.

At least 3,000 kuna for sugar-beet per hectare 

For sugar-beet, which is the most demanding crop and investments into which reach as much as 12,000 kuna, stimulation should amount to at least 3,000 kuna per hectare, Glas Slavonije writes.
