Democrat Nancy Pelosi, US House of Representatives Speaker, has convinced the Republicans at the last moment to vote against Bush`s plan.

In a sea of men who decide on the American and world economy a woman was credited for the negative position of the Congress towards the plan of salvaging the US economy.

Nancy Pelosi, US House of Representatives Speaker criticised Bush`s economy policy in a speech and according to congressman Roy Blunt, she managed to convince 12 Republicans to change their mind literally in the last minute and vote against the plan which is supposed to salvage the American economy.

- With no regulation, no supervision, and no discipline in the system. If you fail, you will have a golden parachute and the taxpayer will bail you – Nancy Pelosi said, adding that these days were long gone, Washington Wire reports.

For those who do not know what the so called golden parachute is, it a type of a golden handshake, amounting to millions of dollars and is common practice for managers in US financial companies regardless of the fact if they were unsuccessful and what sort of losses they have piled up during their term,.
