ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 18 (UPI) -- VSE Corp. of Virginia has joined the roster of contractors that will bid for task orders under the U.S. Air Force's Design and Engineering Support Program.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity award is for seven years. A total of 27 prime contractors have been given the contract, which has a cumulative value of about $1.9 billion.
The Air Force's Design and Engineering Support Program is to obtain support for various programs of the service and other U.S. Department of Defense agencies, including operational life performance of systems and equipment, life-cycle cost reductions and safety. It is managed by the Air Force Air Logistics Center at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
Task orders awarded will be performed at a variety of locations.

VSE is a provider of field engineering, logistics, and program management services to the U.S. military.
