This is the first iPod to use a new screen which can be modified with iTunes and it comes as the replacement for the iPod mini.
Apple iPod V3 is the latest version of the portable media player first introduced by Apple Inc. on September 7, 2005. It comes with a combination of possibilities that can be found on iPod Shuffle and the classic iPod. Its primary intention is to replace the iPod Mini and to contain attractive features and characteristics which really are astonishing.
It took 9 months for Apple to design the iPod Nano. This product comes with flash memory, but it also has a miniaturised version of a colour screen and a click wheel that was featured on the classic iPod.
It is compatible with iTunes on Mac OS X or Microsoft Windows. It is possible to connect it with the legally protected dock connector as well as the third and fourth generation iPods. Although it uses the same version as the Apple FireWire iPod connector which charges its battery, this iPod cannot be synchronised through the Fire Wire connection.
Apple iPod Nano V3 contains a stop watch, i.e. a watch that can detect several time zones and can be locked with the wheel. This is the first iPod to use a new screen which can be modified via iTunes.
Nano is 40 mm wide and 90 mm long. Its width is 6.9 mm and it weighs 42 g, making it small and comfortable to hold. Its battery runs up to 14 hours.
