Don`t punch your iPhone and then try to replace it with a new one because Apple will know what you did.
Apple is sick and tired of purchasers returning “faulty” iPhones, but they were actually at fault. The company used to give them absolutely new and functional mobile phones in return.
This is why the company has decided to patent software which will be installed into every iPhone. This programme will record everything that happened to one of the best-selling mobile phones ever. Just like a black box aboard planes, only repair people will be able to get to the software and based on this abuse information, they will assess whether the customer deserves a replacement unit.
Often, during replacement, the staff which receives the returned phone is not qualified or educated enough to determine whether the unit failed because of a manufacturing error or because of user abuse, Apple explained their patent 20090195394.
Apart from the software, Apple is planning to install sensors to detect humidity, high temperatures, powerful blows, case opening or “adding, removing or replacing inner components”.
Storing the patent enraged many iPhone 3GS users, which supposedly frequently over heats. Apple concluded that the users often expose the phone to conditions which are too hot for their delicate phone, for instance, leaving it in their care and exposed to the sun
There have been complaints about previous phones as well, i.e. the previous two generations of iPhones or iPods.
