Armani Spreads Lies of Not Using Fur

Text

PETA lengthened the Italian designer Armani’s nose into Pinocchio due to the lies of not using fur in his collections.

PETA has come down against Armani and has called Hollywood’s A list to boycott his design during the Oscars. The Italian designer raised the activists to their feet because he did not keep to a contract about giving up on the use of fur in his future collections that he signed last year.

According to the New York Times, last year Armani made a statement to the press before he presented his Prive collection during the Paris Fashion Week:

“There is no fur in the collection. Many years ago I actually made a declaration that I wouldn’t use fur. I used some fur in some recent collections, and the organization PETA, whom most of you are familiar with, discussed this particular issue, and presented some information to [me] and [I'm] not using fur in [my] collection” said Armani.

PETA claims that Armani broke his word, which prompted them to go to the streets with banners of the designer and showed him as Pinocchio. The photographs were published inside the Variety magazine. Hollywood cream, including Katie Holmes, Beyonce, Penelope Cruz and Cate Blanchett, are often seen on the red carpet in Armani’s designs. We will see who will provoke PETA’s anger on February 22 when they get onto the red carpet in front of the Kodak Theatre, reports Vogue.
