 One Australian man is more than likely to remember to close the lid after discovering a large reptile wrapped up in his toilet bowl.

Erik Rantzau found three-meter snake in the bathroom of his Virginia home and called on the snake hunter Chris Peberdy.

Boas don’t usually live in the toilet

- It's not uncommon to find snakes of that size in the tropics, but they are usually not in the bathroom -  Peberdy said for Reuters.

Peberdy, who gets about 1000 snake-related phone calls per year, advised residents of the area to keep their toilets closed and to take a good look before sitting down.
