Barbie And Hello Kitty On The Catwalk

Barbie and Hello Kitty are the new stars of New York Fashion Week, while 30 fashion designers took care of their make-up.

Cult dolls Barbie and Hello Kitty handed themselves over to the hands of fashion designers to mark the 50 th birthday of the blonde beauty, which is a cult of adoration for many girls before they reach puberty.

- I love that there is an innocence about Hello Kitty, but she's also sexy – Ungaro designer Esteban Cortazar, who is currently in the Hello Kitty camp, told the New York Times.

He is among 30 designers who designed the famous doll`s clothes, which will be presented during New York Fashion Week. Barbie will shine on the catwalk on February 14 in Bryant Park, while the little cute kitten will be the star of Tuesday`s fashion show, sponsored by cosmetics giant MAC, which has also launched a new Hello Kitty make-up collection.

While Barbie is a famous fashion icon, her younger sister, 34-year-old Hello Kitty has intrigued creative fashion designers. Last year, John Galliano took her by the hand and dressed her in Dior creations, while the photo shoot was published in Vogue style Bible.
