People that have a mania or depression have a tendency to set higher aims, showed a new study.
People that suffer from depression or a mania focus more on success, money and fame than other people, revealed scientists, reports the Telegraph.
The research that scientists carried out from Berkley University showed that people who have a mania or depression have a higher tendency of setting higher aims.
Some scientists have earlier considered that manias have a great importance in achieving aims, and this study wanted to determine its importance in achieving higher aims.
This is why they studied people that have manias, depression or bipolar disorder. Also, those questioned were subject to various psychological tests in order to determine their stance towards success, money and popularity.
The results showed that manias and depression, besides having many numerous negative sides, prompt people to achieve higher aims.
