If I felt we had to start doing simple clothes, I'd be doing them, said the creative director of Nina Ricci fashion home.
Belgian fashion designer Olivier Theyskens, who has been Nina Ricci fashion home`s creative director since 2006, does not want to adjust to the economy climate changes.
- When the economy changes, it's not like you want to start eating bad-tasting chocolate. You have to stay true to what you're doing, and the house of Nina Ricci is about luxury. It's important to study the market and to feel you are right with it. But if I felt we had to start doing simple clothes, I'd be doing them - Theyskens said.
Thus, the former star of the Rochas fashion home felt the need to increase his fashion accessories line and designed four styles for the spring.
- We've had a propensity toward so much flash the last few years and I wanted to make something classic with simple hardware – the designer told WWD about his new handbags, Vogue writes.Comment
