The famous French designer Pierre Cardin was released from hospital where he spent two full days.

Last week the 86 year old fell down a stairwell and broke his shoulder-blade.

A source close to the designer said that Cardin has went through all of the medical exams, but the main reason for his fall is his high blood pressure.

The designer fell in the small village of Lacoste, in which he organizes a musical and scene festival in the castle that Markiz de Sade once lived in, writes AFP.

Cardin was born in Italy, but later he moved to France. The world knows him for his avant-garde style. This designer loves geometric shapes and themes, often ignoring the shape of a woman.

Embracing unisex clothing, he created experimental, but not always practical creations. He has been a UNESCO ambassador of good will since 1991.
