Microsoft has released Internet Explorer 8 release candidate version, which means the software is out of its beta phase.
The Internet Explorer 8 release candidate version, which will offer certain “new” options, like private surfing, add-ons (called accelerators) and others mostly seen in Firefox 3, and will have improved security settings, was released on Monday and can be downloaded from the official Microsoft website.
The final software version should be nearly identical to the release candidate, according to Internet Explorer general director Dean Hachamovitch, while only tiny alterations are expected, cnet writes.
IE8 will be compatible with Windows XP (Service pack 2 or later), as well as with Windows Vista.
