So much about the fight between David and Goliath: a 14-year-old-boy succumbed to a 2-centimetre-long fish.
A 14-year-old Indian boy was cleaning his aquarium when a fish decided to crawl up his genitals.
Apparently, the boy went to empty the fish tank into the toilet, holding the little fish in his hand. But the slippery little critter slithered out of his hand and found cover in the first available crevice.
The boy went to the doctor complaining of pain in his lower abdomen and difficulties in urinating. Extensive tests discovered that the fish crawled up his urinary tract into his bladder, a British fish fan web site reported.
The doctors tried to extract the fish from the poor boy in various ways, which, of course, included shoving a lot of medical instruments the same way the fish got there in the first place.
Finally, the doctors used a uteroscope at whose end were small pliers that are usually used for the removal of kidney stones. A 2-centimetre-long and 1.5 centimetre wide fish was extracted from the little body’s body.
The condition of the fish once it had been extracted is unknown, but the boy was recommended psychiatric counselling.
