If someone thinks that their partner cheated, they can bring underwear, sheets, old chewing gum, sperm or saliva, the lab says.
Several laboratories in Mexico do DNA tests for those who suspect that their partners cheated on them, AFP reports.
- If someone thinks that their partner cheated, they can bring us underwear, sheets, old chewing gum, sperm samples, saliva, or hair - explains the director of one of the laboratories.
The test will determine whether the DNA belongs to the client or someone else. The process takes between 4 and 6 days and it costs between 200 and 500 dollars.
DNA tests for private purposes are not prohibited in Mexico. The laboratory receives around 50 requests for testing every day.
According to a survey conducted by a private institute, every sixth inhabitant of Mexico suspects that their partner was unfaithful.
