The Logitech Cooling Pad N100 with additional airflow is the new member of Logitech`s family of laptop accessories which provide comfort for home usage. While laptops are usually first choice for computers used at home, Logitech`s survey reveals that many users feel lack of comfort. For instance, over 60 percent of people use their laptops on the couch. Over 50 percent of them are worried because their computer overheats, while 43 percent believe that overheating can slow down or damage the computer.

- We`ve identified two ways in which people use their laptops around the home - in structured spaces such as the home office, and unstructured spaces like the living room - said Denis Pavillard, Logitech`s vice president of product marketing for keyboards and desktops.

According to Logitech experts, the company addresses these needs with the Cooling Pad N100, just like with the recently launched Comfort Lapdesk and other laptop accessories.

Logitech Cooling Pad N100 – improves airflow

Logitech states that when you use your laptop and are lying on the couch, on the bed or are at a desk, with your favourite keyboard and mouse, the Logitech Cooling Pad N100 improves airflow around your computer.

Protecting the computer from overheating, the cooling pad features a slotted surface, which allows the USB-powered fan to distribute air quietly and evenly.

Creating steady and unobstructed airflows, the cooling pad uses back air intake, unlike other cooling surfaces which generate airflows from angles and blocked by laptops or clothes. It has an addition in the form of a construction which protects the inner fan from dust and damage.

Designed for exceptional success, the Cooling Pad N100 encompasses a low power consumption cable which is connected to the computer with the least amount of impact of the battery, at the same time adding enough power for improved airflow.

Logitech Comfort Lapdesk for laptops

Presented in December 2008, the Logitech Comfort Lapdesk was designed to protect the computer from overheating, offering the user a stable base as they work on a couch, bed or are sitting on the floor.

The Logitech Cooling Pad N100 is expected to be available in Europe in July for a suggested retail price of 29.99 US dollars. The Logitech Comfort Lapdesk for Notebooks is available now in Europe for a suggested retail price of 39.99 US dollars.
